　今天Sean老師要來給各位一些有關-cit字根的英文單字.

-cit源自拉丁文動詞citare,原有excite, call (激起,喚起)之意.

(A) cite (v.) 引用,舉例,表揚

Whenever you quote from somewhere, be sure to cite the original author. (每當你要引用某人的文章,記得列上原作者的名字)

(B) citation (n.) 引述,條文,傳票

His essay has many citations from renowned doctors. (他的論文中引用了許多著名醫生的文章)

(C) excite (v.) 使興奮,引起

Don't excite the baby. I'm just about to put him to bed. (別逗這嬰兒.我正要哄他睡)

(D) excited (a.) 興奮的,激動的

He's very excited about his upcoming birthday. (他為即將到來的生日感到興奮)

(E) exciting (a.) 令人興奮的,刺激的

Skydiving is a very exciting hobby. (跳傘是一種非常刺激的嗜好)

(F) incite (v.) 引起,鼓動

The police arrested the man and charged him with inciting a riot. (警方逮捕了那人並已引起暴動的罪名將他起訴)
